Overview

This supplementary timeline, documenting two historic journeys on the Danube in their chronological orders, served as a visual guide to renowned film maker Péter Forgács’s interactive installation at the Jewish Museum.

The first narrative tells of Eastern European Jews fleeing Nazi persecution, and the second story follows Bessarabian German farmers as they abandoned their adopted homeland to return to the "safety" of the Third Reich.
